AIDSWalk! AIDSWalk AIDSWalk AIDSWalk!
I know, right!
So you guys, check it. Supersnack is having its THIRD ANNUAL AIDSWalk Benefit in May. I have compiled a list of reasons you'll probably want to go buy your tickets right now.
1. Sarah Bunting, who we all love and cherish, is gonna perform. She'll either read something funny that she wrote, or she'll dance around wearing a giant foam tomato, or possibly both at the same time. Either way, I know you don't want to miss seeing it.
2. John Oliver (of The Daily Show) will be doing standup. If you have only ever seen him do the Daily Show correspondent thing, my friend, you are missing out. He is amazing.
3. The Mountain Goats are going to perform. So many of you have been going on and on about The Mountain Goats for so long. Now is your chance to see them live and in person, and perhaps even touch one.
4. Mountain Goats fans are avid. We have already sold about 10% of our tickets (it's an 1100 seat theater) and we have done very very little promoting. This is great news for us, but potentially bad news for you, if it sells out. What I'm saying is, it IS gonna sell out, so buy your tickets as soon as you can.
5. Come on, you know it's a great cause. Also, if you come, I will personally buy you a beer.
6. The theme of the benefit is going to be "carnival," which means we're going to have burlesque dancers, authentic Coney Island circus freaks, gotham girls roller derby-ers, stilt walkers, people in costume, and so on and so forth. Personally, it is the party of my dreams. Seriously, it's going to be a really fun time, which I promise you (and all your friends that you're planning to bring along) will enjoy immensely.
7. You will be one of the first to see me modeling my brand new hair color (will it be cerulean? will it be mauve?). You might even get to vote on that hair color, if you give me all your money. Okay, you don't even have to give me all of it. Actually, just $25 will do. You got $25 lying around, right? You totally don't need to buy another copy of The Police's Synchronicity Concert on DVD - there you go.
If you live within 100 miles of New York, you have no excuse. I know people who are coming from Virginia to be there. I know people coming from Chicago and San Francisco to be there. I even know a person coming from BRITISH COLUMBIA to be there. You better represent. If you live in Brooklyn and are on the fence about this event, a pox upon you. You are just screwing yourself out of a good time!
SPECIAL NOTE TO TEAM MEMBERS: Remember, you do not need to buy tickets to the benefit, as long as you raise some amount of money.

Wow. Holy shit.
Too bad Zach hates the Mountain Goats.
It is a shame. I guess he can suffer through their set though, since it's a good cause and all.
I wish you and C could come up for it. I'd be the happiest!!!

Thank you mamacita! I am very excited about it! Thanks for the help offer too! Really just promote it to all ya friends and stuff, that's really what we need. :) At the moment, I mean. I'm sure I'll think of other stuff lata.
Oh, and tell Emily and Shanna to sign up, if you see em! They told me they wanted to do it at your bday party (they brought it up, I wasn't hounding them or anything, I swear!) and I've been emailing Em but haven't heard from her. Drat!
i would like to note that this was going to be the year I finally made it up, but I can't because I will be at a bachelorette party in Vegas....BUT I'm still going to give money to Greta...or Allen...but Greta is way cuter.
Oooo, you should totally give to Greta!! Not only is she cuter, she has a fuzzier nose.
